The Tanner B. Race was established to honor the memory of Tanner J. Barbara, son of John and Becky, brother of Evan and Dylan, and friend to all. Tanner was taken from us unexpectedly at the young age of eight, but he will always live on in the hearts of the family and friends who loved him dearly. It is fitting that we should honor Tanner with a race, because he was a kid who loved to move. Whether tumbling in the gym, running for touchdowns on the football field, or just rollerblading with his friends in front of his house, Tanner was happiest when he was on the go.
Please join us keeping his legacy alive by racing, volunteering, or donating, but most of all, by remembering the love and energy that Tanner gave to all of us. The proceeds of this years race will go to various charities and programs in Weymouth. Effective March 15, 2013 the In Memory of Me Tanner B. Inc, has been designated a 501(c)(3) organization: tax ID#46-1710767.
MIXING IT UP IN 2020!
Since we cannot physically get together for our annual Tanner B Road Race, we have decided to create a couple of different events to honor and remember Tanner.
This year we will be holding a FOOD DRIVE and a VIRTUAL RUN!
Stay tuned for more info on the virtual run!
We are holding a drive-thru food drive on Thursday, July 30th 2-7 p.m. at Weymouth High School. Signs will be posted and volunteers will be directing you where to drive through.
All of the proceeds from the food drive will support the Weymouth Food Pantry and the Weymouth Public Schools Backpack Program.
For a list of acceptable donations please see FOOD DRIVE page.
All volunteers will wear masks and will take food out of your cars for you so that we can keep the line moving.
So many families need help during this time and we know Tanner would want us to help as many as possible. Please stop by and drop off what you are able to.
Thank you for always supporting Tanner B and the Barbara Family.
